Optimize Your Gut Health

Yesterday was the 360 Thrive Wellness spring retreat at the Tower Hill Botanic Garden.  As I was driving home after the retreat, I felt peaceful, calm and inspired.

This image was the foundation for my Optimize Your Gut Health workshop.  I talked about how healing your gut has the power to improve your mental health, strengthen your immune system, balance your hormones, restore your clear skin and more. 

I shared how calming your nervous system, practicing patience, love and kindness to yourself, balancing your microbiome and nourishing your body with whole foods can help to heal your digestive system.

For an activity, I gave mandarins to everyone in the group.  We took the time to relax, give thanks, smell our food to create saliva and digestive enzymes to optimize digestion while being in a calm, peaceful, parasympathetic nervous system state.  

I talked about the power of love to heal. I shared how important it is to be mindful and aware of our thought patterns and limiting beliefs.  I gave specific examples of ways to release repressed emotions, set healthy boundaries and put less pressure on ourselves.

I explained the process of restoring balance to our microbiome by removing excess bad bacteria with natural antimicrobial herbs and a biofilm disruptor and replenishing beneficial microbes with specific probiotics. I talked about healing and sealing the gut lining with more strategic supplements.

I gave tips on how to nourish our bodies with whole foods by preparing meals with love and creativity and eating intuitively as a unique bioindividual. I talked about the importance of making self-honoring and healthy choices from a place of love and compassion.

We finished the workshop with a guided tapping meditation from my Tapping Solution app.  We listened to the Gratitude for Foods that Nourish Me meditation which was nice for putting us all in a peaceful, calm and grateful state before we nourished ourselves with lunch.
