Raw Nuts + Chocolate Chunks

If you are trying to avoid gluten, dairy, eggs and processed food, but you’d like a simple, sweet and crunchy treat, here’s an idea for you! Mix one to two tablespoons of chocolate chunks with a small handful of raw almonds and walnuts in a bowl and enjoy.

Two of my favorite nuts are almonds and walnuts. I love this particular brand of chocolate, Enjoy Life, because it is vegan, free of 14 common allergens and verified non-GMO.

If you aren’t allergic or sensitive to almonds and walnuts, they can be very beneficial to your health. Do a quick search on the internet for the benefits of walnuts and almonds and you may be inspired to add them to your daily nourishment.

Almonds are rich in healthy fats, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.  They contain lots of fiber, protein, magnesium and vitamin E. Walnuts are also nutrient rich and contain antioxidants.  They contain ALA (alpha linolenic acid), a type of omega-3 fatty acid that can help to reduce inflammation.
