Thanksgiving Salad + Homemade Balsamic Vinaigrette

Are you in charge of bringing a salad or veggie side dish to your Thanksgiving get together?  Here is a simple, beautiful, delicious and nutritious salad with only four ingredients and a yummy homemade balsamic vinaigrette. 


Salad Ingredients:

  • Mix of baby spinach and baby lettuces

  • Dried Unsweetened Cranberries 

  • Halved Pecans

  • Ribboned carrots

Salad Directions:

  1. Place salad greens in a large bowl.

  2. Peel carrots into long ribbons and mix them around into the lettuce.

  3. Chop the pecans in halves and place them on top.

  4. Sprinkle on the dried cranberries.

Homemade Balsamic Vinaigrette Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar

  • ⅓ cup olive oil

  • ½ teaspoon real salt

  • ½ teaspoon chopped garlic

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup

Homemade Balsamic Vinaigrette Directions:

  1. Put all the ingredients into a mason jar and shake vigorously.

  2. Pour over salad when it is time to eat, serve and enjoy!


If you want to keep it super simple, just use olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper, which is a tasty combo too.
