Nature's Healing Power

I’m reading a book called Nurturing the Soul of Your Family: 10 Ways to Reconnect and Find Peace in Everyday Life by Renée Peterson Trudeau.  I really like her list of reasons to take time to get outside and into nature.  Here are some of them…


  • It helps reduce stress and anxiety while promoting relaxation.

  • It positively affects our mood and overall mental health.

  • It builds our physical health and immune system through exposure to vitamin D.

  • It helps us to reset by restoring balance and equilibrium to our emotional and psychological systems.

  • It fosters problem solving and creativity.


Whether it is sunny, cloudy, hot, humid or rainy, whatever the weather is, take a moment to step outside, breathe in the fresh air, look up at the trees and sky and soak in the healing power and the beauty of nature.  I hope you have a wonderful day!
